I remember this... I remember that it had all its sound files stored as basic wav's, so I recorded myself making the noises for a laugh.. lol

I hope I remember this tomorrow. Today it refused to work, even restarting dcs didn’t work. That was on a multiplayer session. Earlier this week it worked fine. I think once I had to plug in the ir clip, but tonight the clip worked (it was moving on the screen outside dcs). I assume we’re referring to unplugging the camera?

I played this game so much when I was 10yo, I remember wishing I had a game where I could fly the faster jets. But this was all I could get my hands on as a kid in Africa. Then I got my hands on F/A-18 Hornet 2.0 and played the hell out of that too. Funny thing now is I fly the A4 on DCS world and consider myself a mud mover more than air combat ace… I guess the A10 foundation defined me.

This game is what got me into aviation, I would play this on my grandfather's PC growing up as a kid, he has now passed away so watching this always brings me close to him and im so glad thia video exists. Ah, dropping Mk84s on cargo ships and also on top of the B-52s during flight and max out the bomb load trying to bust the dam (which I never achieved, if its even possible). I'm no english native so I had to trial and error through the game as a young child which was part of the fun! Only had the demo version with this one mission but I played it uncountable times. I even tried to reach florida one time because my young mind didn't understand that the game didn't modell the whole planet :) As someone mentioned already, it was more of a physics sandbox than a game.

In this mission have you notice the F-15 never make in it guantanamo bay from Maisy, I first thought it was some sort of glitch on my game but it happens to everyone by the looks of it, I remember trying to find out what happens to the F 15s so I took off and headed to straight to Maisy direction and discovered all 3 of them crash due to loss of control from overspeed not far off the northeast of guantanamo bay, they have always failed make it so what I did was try and force them to make it by firing aim sidewinder at the before they were due to crash, that often forces the F 15 to cut there thrust and cause them to slow down before resuming there flight to guantanamo bay, and I managed to succeed in at least 1 of them making it to fight off the mig 29s

Fantastic game, I played this nearly all my life and never get bored of it

I spent maybe 100 hours on this game as a kid, but honestly I don't think I ever beat a single mission. Just flying around, dropping bombs, shooting cars and buildings

I have this on my PC, runs fine on Windows 10

Why do you play with you brightness turned ALL the way down

I spent approximately half my childhood in Guantanamo Bay. Casually strolling down mainstreet in my A-10, trying to fit in with the other car traffic until leveling the whole place to the ground. Not even the cigar billboard was left standing.

This was my favorite mission to play. I often liked sitting in my hangar and watching the oncoming Frogfoots and An-124s fight their way in.

Too bad about that MiG catching you, but great job cheesing it by staying too low :) Seems he wasn't on your RWR, tricky devil.

This was my favorite mission, I remember pressing N and flying it at different times of the day and even at Night, it was a great challenge! XDDD

I would pay someone a lot of money to get this to run on Winblows 10.

The load-out menu looks different than what I remember back in the 90s (Mac-based). Other than that... you are my better (by far) at the stick. Is this now free-ware for PC? Is there are another flight sim that has the A10, in Cuba... for the modern day? Guantanamo... from what I've researched... is now (or recently was) a coveted posting for military families. Close/tight-knit community... good for kids. A few years back, I would have been able to request a sponsor and visit the island. Now... broke, limping along, zero cash for travel, but hopeful for the future. If any families or previous marines or pilots would care to share... i'd be appreciative... how are things there now? Is it a good place to visit? (I'm non-military)
